PORTLAND, Ore., February 5, 2020 – HealthSparq, a health care guidance and transparency technology company, announced it will once again sponsor the Patient Experience Symposium as part of its What’s the Fix? (www.whatsthefix.info) initiative. HealthSparq’s sponsorship will provide two scholarships for patients to attend the three-day event alongside senior health care leaders responsible for patient experience. This year’s event takes place May 11-13 in Boston.
“All health care conferences should include the patient perspective,” said Heather Burton, VP of Marketing for HealthSparq. “The mission of What’s the Fix? is to put patients front and center in health care conversations and having them at industry conferences is one way to do that. We’re excited to partner with the Patient Experience Symposium for the second year to bring two more wonderful patients to Boston.”
The sponsorship will enable the Patient Experience Symposium to reimburse $1,200 in patients’ travel expenses and provide them with full access to all events throughout the conference. Recipients will be selected based on the following criteria:
- Need of support to attend the event
- Current and past work towards driving change in health care
- Passion to drive change in health care
- Personal health care story
- Potential to gain personally and professionally from attending the conference
Scholarship applications will be accepted between February 5 and March 13, 2020, and the selected recipients will be notified in early April.
The Patient Experience Symposium (https://www.patientsymposium.com), in its fourth year, brings together senior-level health care professionals across the health care spectrum who are responsible for patient experience outcomes and includes special programming for health care executives, administrators, health IT experts, clinical trial operators, physicians and nurse leaders.
