6 years ago I recently got my vasectomy done at Oregon Health and Science University (OHSU). They were awesome and told me upfront how much insurance would cover and what my out-of-pocket (OOP) cost would be for both the consult and the procedure.
Everything went smoothly, I paid before my consult visit with no issue, and then paid before the procedure again with no issue (and at a good price). Two weeks after the procedure I get a bill for another $180 from OHSU. Now I have to deal with calling, trying to get an explanation, etc.
Just when I thought I’d escaped it… #WHATTHEHEALTHCARE!!
