On May 16, the What’s the Fix? the conference kicked off with two pre-conference workshops. This workshop with the Society for Participatory Medicine was led by a collaborative patient, doctor and nurse team: “e-Patient Dave” deBronkart, Dr. Danny Sands and Marge Benham-Hutchins.
About the Workshop:
This workshop will, led by a collaborative patient, doctor and nurse team, and explores how activated and empowered patients can engage as responsible drivers of their health, and how providers can encourage and collaborate with them as full partners in their health and care.
Core Focus:
You’ll learn about the Participatory Medicine model of health care and gain tools and tactics that can be employed by both patients and providers to support a collaborative relationship and, therefore, improve health outcomes and satisfaction.
