3 years ago No one could have predicted what the year 2020 would bring – upheaval in our lives overall and major impacts to health care in this country. In this first-ever #WTFix Virtual Patient Panel, we will meet with a group of consumers to discuss a variety of topics, including all that’s going on in health care today as COVID-19 changes access to care, as well as experiences with health care providers and health insurance companies. Our moderator, Alison Greco, will explore the topic of Social Determinants of Health (SDOH), asking panelists to share their experiences with disparities based on socioeconomic status, neighborhood, race, education, employment and other factors that continue to impact on the well-being of the U.S. population. This conversation will be a unique look into the past and current experiences of patients, so health plans, health systems and others can actively work to improve for the future.
During the interactive panel discussion, attendees will hear about what patients experience firsthand and what they seek from the health care system moving forward. You’ll also:
- Get honest feedback from patients about their health plan, their providers and the health care system overall
- Gain insight on how Social Determinants of Health (SDOH) have impacted consumers
- Hear ideas for making health care better
